Seeing that I have lost the NLC primary, I have decided to form a slate of candidates for the upcoming Senate elections that believe in my principles. Any candidate who believes in the following principles is welcome to join:

1. Regional Rights Candidates must recognize that government activism should occur at the regional level first, and must oppose all federal infringements on those rights.
2. Civil Liberties Candidates must respect Atlasians' rights to privacy and personal liberty, and must oppose all infringements on privacy.
3. Property Rights Candidates must support Atlasians' right to property ownership, and must oppose all infringements on property rights.
4. Non-intervention Candidates must support a foreign policy of non-intervention, and must oppose all attempts to wage agressive war
5. Free Markets Candidates must support free markets for Atlasia, and must oppose most infringements on them.

Will this be a new party, or just a slate for the Senate elections?

As of now, this will just be a slate for the Senate elections. I still have some hope that I can libertarianize the NLC platform at the next convention.

For the record, I still plan on running for Senate until Bacon King decides to run. Since he hasn't officially declared yet, his third-place ranking isn't official until he has.

My word of advice is, it would be difficult for you to change the NLC platform if you run a dissident NLC list in any election.

I never said that the ALO slate and the NLC slate had to be mutually exclusive. I am allowing members of all parties, NLC included, to interview for the ALO's endorsement in the next election. I prefer to put principle over party.

The Atlasian Liberty Organization would like for all senatorial candidates to fill out a survey to gauge their commitment to liberty. Those that score the highest will receive the ALO endorsement. Here is the survey:

1. What is your position on regional rights?

2. What is your position on civil liberties?

3. What is your position on property rights?

4. What is your position on foreign policy?

5. What is your positon on the economy?

6. Embolden any of the following that you support:
a) gun control
b) nationalized health care
c) economic protectionism
d) trade embargoes on foreign countries
e) criminilized narcotics

7. How would you work to promote liberty as a senator?

8. What is your top three priorities as a senator?

The Atlasian Liberty Organization would like for all senatorial candidates to fill out a survey to gauge their commitment to liberty. Those that score the highest will receive the ALO endorsement. Here is the survey:

1. What is your position on regional rights?

I believe that without activity, the idea of regional rights is meaningless.

2. What is your position on civil liberties?

Civil liberties are an important pillar of our society.

3. What is your position on property rights?

Private property is not an evil, but it is not an absolute good.

4. What is your position on foreign policy?

We must have a foreign policy designed on understanding other nations, rather than unilateral agenda-pushing.

5. What is your positon on the economy?

Capitalism works, but it must have controls to protect the common man.

6. Embolden any of the following that you support:
a) gun control
b) nationalized health care
c) economic protectionism
d) trade embargoes on foreign countries

e) criminilized narcotics

7. How would you work to promote liberty as a senator?

I would support and introduce bills promoting social liberty.

8. What is your top three priorities as a senator?

1. To actively represent Atlasia.
2. To protect the common man.
3. To reform the United Nations.

It's difficult to give more concrete answers to questions this vague. I think my positions are fairly clear.

Now that I have withdrawn from the Senate race, the chances of the Atlasian Liberty Organization reaching its goal of a pro-liberty slate of candidates in the senate elections is slim to none, unless pro-liberty candidates enter the race within the next four days. Considering this, I will move on to the ALO's next project: reforming the National Liberal Coalition.

UPDATE: I have re-entered the special election for District 4's vacant seat, and thus will temporarily use the Atlasian Liberty Organization as my campaign headquarters. Also, I may be willing to reconsider a general election run depending on how the results of this special election go.

Report for the South Park Conservative for Senate Campaign:

In the special senate election that took place over the weekend, the SPC for Senate campaign recieved 20% of the vote in a four-way race. While we did lose the special election, this is encouragement enough to continue my campaign into the general election this weekend. Former Vice-President Jas's newspaper noted that I have a good chance at slipping into a fifth place on the ballot, just enough to win a senate seat. While this may upset the party members of the National Liberal Coalition, I wish to inform them that I will vote down the ballot for other NLC candidates and will encourage my supporters to do the same. Thank you for the support.

Report from the Atlasian Liberty Organization, from organizational chairman South Park Conservative:

Given that the SPC for Senate campaign has failed, the Atlasian Liberty Organization will move on to other causes for the advancement for liberty. Firstmost among these causes shall by the reform of the National Liberal Coalition platform. Another cause the ALO is looking into is sponsering regional secessionist movements throughout Atlasia.
