I think Warner will end up holding Gilmore to somewhere between 40%-43% of the vote.  I really can't see Gilmore getting over 45%, but I don't think Warner is likely to get over 60% either.

I wouldn't be surprised if Warner does manage to get more than 60 percent of the vote. If he does manage to surpass the 60 percent mark, I would say that he wouldn't get more than about 62 or 63 percent of the vote.

The entry of Gail "For Rail" Parker into the race will surely shake things up.

Gilmore is doing better than I would have expected honestly.

Virginia loves Mark Warner...I am not surprised.

Only question is if he has reverse coattails...which is highly unlikely.

Perhaps unlikely, but you never know, I think we will see Warner involved in quite a bit of Obama's campaign events in the state.

It's not even entirely certain that Jim Gilmore will be facing Mark Warner in the fall, with Bob Marshall gaining strength among movement conservatives at his expense.

A Bob Marshall candidacy would be entertaining, at least. I heard him interviewed on Hearsay on WHRO a week or two ago, and the only things he talked about the entire hour were immigration, abortion, and the transportation authority.

Thanks Virginia for proving there is a candidate worse than Gilmore...
