Minnesota requires gender balance for delegates. My subcaucus earned 3 delegates to the state convention, we ended up electing 2 men and 1 woman. I voted for the best looking female for that delegate and she won, probably mostly for that reason but also age (all the young people rallied around the people in our age groups while all the old people split the vote.) In fact both male delegates were also under 30.

When given the opportunity in college I chose classes with professors by this standard too. I greatly appreciated that little tamale symbol ratemyprofessors.com used.

I once had this SMOKING hot 26 year old grad student teaching urban design, and I probably lost a whole letter grade in that class just because I was so distracted by her.

That's how student elections tend to go.

We actually elect the delegates in a public vote here. Since everyone running for delegate is an insider of some sort, I have to review everyone that's running. I already know that there are two people running that I definitley won't vote for.

No - at least not on purpose.

Mind you I'm always going to be biased toward people of my age group anyway.
