Catching McCain is one thing; Obama taking a small but sustainable lead is quite another

Amendment I (1791) of the Constitution of the United States of America reads:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibting the free exercise thereof ...

Islam is not the established, as in official, state religion of the United States of America; consequently, American citizens are not bound by Islamic Sharia Law. Indeed, American citizens are free to choose which faith they practice, if any

Dave

I agree but some voters think that if you are a muslim a day, you will be always a muslim.

That's ridiculous, and Obama has never been a Muslim anyway, so I'm not sure why that matters.  "Some people" are idiots.

Unfortunately, in America, idiots have suffrage.

It looks like statistical noise, on this poll at least.

It looks like statistical noise.

Not to bring up an old debate, why is it that in some polls, you call one percent shifts a "trend," and here, this is "statistical noise"?  What do you know that we don't? Tongue

Ah, because yesterday, she was down 9; today she's down by 8 (vs. Obama).  Probably a one day slightly skewed sample, that's still being counted.  A week or so, I may not be saying "noise," if the numbers continue.

Both Rassmusen and Gallop tracking polls show Obama overtaing McCain.  Should be interesting to see how that plays out.

Obama has maintained a steady lead over Clinton for a few days now. If it stays that way for the next week, I don't think it will change.

Since she's back down to 8, I'd say yes.  Smiley

It's not a big move either way, though Obama has gained nationally over a long period.

If it drops to six tomorrow, I'd still say minor fluctuation.
