I really thought Huckabee would do better, but according to CNN's exit polls, he's only at about 11%.

Maybe Huckabee supporters weren't as enthusiastic to answer an exit poll.

Is there any place where we can get CD results, because that's likely what really matters here.

CNN is now projecting 6-3 in delegates at this point, if that means anything.

A handful of actual votes (a very small handful) are out, Obama leading:

75% of Republicans in the Dem primary voted for Clinton... they really want her to be the nominee.
No, they just want to have this fight between Clinton and Obama dragged out for as long as humanly possible, leaving whoever becomes the winner battered and fatigued by the time of the convention.  This is, of course, assuming Democrats decide upon a nominee before then.

Both of those theories give the average voter too much credit.  I'm with Al on this one.

By the way, expect slow counting.

Mississippi has one of the most archaic election counting systems in the nation.  Their certified election documents are hand-written by volunteers, nearly illegible, and riddled with errors.  I doubt that they have ever finalized a statewide election without at least one blatant mistake in adding up the polling place numbers.  In 2004, I'd say at least 1 in 5 counties had incorrect totals.

But, yeah, slow counting.

The racial voting going on is really funny (and likely to get funnier).

Hmm.

I'll admit that I don't know Mississippi very well (and jack about Hattiesburg), but this might be a little narrower than the exit polls showed.

DeSoto is probably underreporting relative to the % they show, btw.

Yes, Southaven.  Boom area.  Clinton's 53% is actually surprisingly low, and way down from whatever it was earlier.  It is about 1/9th black.

Racial polarization, racial polarization, racial polarization.

More than perhaps any state in the union, 62% reporting is way too early to call a county in Mississippi.

I expect a good bit more bumping this evening, as the various black/white parts of the state show up.

Hehe.  Mississippi.

You would get in big trouble if you said something to the effect of:

"African-Americans voted almost entirely for Obama.

Hehe.  Blacks."

So why is ok to be bigoted toward Mississippi?

Uh, I'm being bigoted against your horribly outdated, handwritten-and-faxed elections collection system.  I really don't know what you're talking about.
