However unlikely, here it goes:

Democrats:

Barack Obama
Joe Biden

Republicans:

Dick Cheney
Condoleeza Rice

It's a blow out for the Democrats, getting 440 EV compared to just 98 for the Republicans.

Texas is very close, as Georgia.  The only states to go comfortably for the Republicans are Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Alabama,  South Carolina and Mississippi.

Barack Obama: 360 electoral votes
Dick Cheney: 176 electoral votes
270 needed to win

Closest States:
Tennessee
North Carolina
Kansas
Oklahoma
Montana
Arizona

Don't you think that against DICK CHENEY, Pbama would carry every '96 Clinton state?

The very efficient and effective Republican attack machine scares voters so much about Obama that they put Cheney in the White House.

They convince voters that Obama is not qualified to handle national security, partly by using footage of Hillary and Bill Clinton making these statements.

Republican ads use footage of Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Obama's minister for 20 years, throughout the campaign, showing his incendiary satements about 911, showing his blatant anti white rhetoric, and downplaying Obama's assertions that he was not aware of these statements until they were broadcast on national television.

Private groups, not the Republican Party, take out ads questioning Obama's commitment to America, showing Obama dressed in Muslim costume, emphasizing Obama's Muslim background on his father's side, and showing footage of Obama not covering his heart with his hand when he sings the national anthem.  These ads are denounced by the Republican Party, nevertheless, they have the desired effect.

Other ads are run by private groups, not the Republican Party, instilling fear in the hearts of white voters, showing Obama's quote about a "typical white person," and intimating that whites will become disadvantaged if there is a black President.  The Republican Party also denounces these ads, but they too have the desired effect.

Cheney promises to not only keep America safe, but promises a new economic stimulus package that will reinvigorate the economy.

Both Rice and Biden play their parts well, and voters like both of them.

In the end, there are too many unanswered questions about Obama, too many doubts have been planted about Obama, and the voters go grudingly with a known quantity, Vice President Dick Cheney, who they don't particularly like, but who they believe is qualified to handle national security issues.

Gporter, may I ask why you're having difficulty with quoting other forum members?  I can offer advice, but I'm not sure where the error lies (aside from quoting people twice).

I am posting, but it comes to a lengither post and then when I try to post, it has come up that I have quoted twice. I am not really sure what is going wrong.

I take it that you're only clicking once on the  button, not double-clicking?

You Kool-Ade drinking Obama hacks!!!!!

Don't you know that Obama's ties to Reverend Jeremiah Wright will completely doom his campaign against Dear Leader Cheney?

More like this, if you've been paying attention...

Obama wouldn't even carry Illinois and Vermont. They'd easily give their votes to Dick Cheney. Obama in this scenario would only win D.C Tongue

It is at least nice to see some other views in this race, rather than the ridiculous Obama love fest landslide scenarios.

You know as ridiculous as that seems at first, I don't think it's all that unrealistic. I think it would be less of a blowout. Obama would win more of the states that went for Kerry in 04.

Thank you.

The point I am making is that in an actual campaign, the Republican attack machine and independent organizations would be able to plant doubt in voters about electing a young, inexperienced candidate to the Presidency.

Admittedly, it is extremely doubtful that Cheney would defeat Obama, however, against Obama, Mccain stands an excellent chance of winning the Presidency.

There are some states that will simply not vote for a black man, even if Cheney is running. He wouldn't do as poorly as some maps on here, but Obama would probably break the 400EVs threshold.
