Let's suppose Alexander Downer never makes as many blunders as his did during his 8 month period as Opposition Leader. Thus his support remains high and is seen as a fresh faced alternative to Paul Keating's Labor Government, which has been in power for 12 years.

How would this Election turn out? Would it be a massive landslide to the Liberal Party like in RL? Or would Keating manage to surprisingly pull off a victory?

Discuss.

I think Labor would've lost either way. It was high time for a change, and any Liberal would've been able to give it.

I would say the same thing. Also it seems that in this scenario that John Howard might have been Industrial Relations Minister *gasp*

Very bloody likely. Though Downer might have done something similar to Howard in RL but it would have been more liberalised.

I thought you would have hated that. Maybe if you were down here, then you might.
