New Poll: Washington Governor by Rasmussen on 2008-02-28

Summary: D: 46%, R: 47%, U: 7%

The two candidates are tied at 44% among unaffiliated voters.

Rossi is viewed favorably by 52% and unfavorably by 41%. Fifty-one percent (51%) have a favorable opinion of Gregoire while 44% view her unfavorably.

Forty-three percent (43%) of likely Washington voters give Gregoire's performance as governor a good or excellent rating, while 25% say she is doing a poor job.

I don't believe this one - I think lately Rasmussen has been showing a slight Republican bias in polling - witness Schaffer's lead over Udall in the Colorado Senate race.

This same poll gives McCain a wide 48%-40% lead over Hillary Clinton in the state.

It seems that when there is movement against a Democratic candidate it seems likes he overstates that movement and gives the edge to the republicans like in this instance and in CO.
