Bush led in a bunch of 2004 NJ polls, so I wouldn't worry.  McCain should (at least in theory) play better here than Bush did, as well.

Yes. People forget that, just as Obama isn't Kerry (that's obvious enough though), McCain isn't Bush. He will play relatively better than Bush in some areas, relatively worse in others no matter what the Democrats do.

Lol. The analysis part is a complete joke. "Clinton and Obama lead by substantial margin" 6% is not really substantial in my book. They also say Obama is bolstered by his lead among independent vote even though the indpendent vote was a mirror-image of the overall vote.

But the actual numbers look pretty credible.

McCain will play well in the Northeast against Obama, and Obama will do better in the midwest and west.

I think the numbers will be the same as last time. 9-11 isn't going to be as strong, but McCain can take up the slack.
