Pennsylvania 11 (33.3%)
Virginia 14 (42.4%)
West Virginia 3 (9.1%)

Total Voters: 33

This match quickly became an epic Pennsylvania/Virginia bout. Pennsylvania took the initial lead but Virginia came back and it was a dead heat most of the day. Alas, towards the end Virginia decided to put an end to this and pulled ahead for a decent win. It's clear both PA and VA are big states on this forum and both advance to the next round. Not a very impressive performance for Ohio. It was tough competition but Ohio was closer to West Virginia than the other two. Ohio heads into the Wildcard round. I'd say there is still a good chance Ohio can make it out of the wildcard round though. West Virginia is of course eradicated.

Now we're really in the Northeast. Just three more matches until the end of Round 1. New York is the obvious favorite here. Some of the bigger states like California, Texas and Florida have not been that impressive. Will NY follow suit or will it have more of an Illinois type dominance. Let us find out!

I like NY, but I voted for Maryland. It's the only state on the list I've been to.

NYC is a great place to be. It's hard not to have fun when you're there.

Ok, I've decided that I'm going to keep doing these. NY gets my vote.

Voted for Deleware, though none of the states are that amazing (also it was a bit ofa pity vote, Deleware should win once at SOMETHING)

My uncle lives in Maryland and I've enjoyed all my trips out there to see him, visit DC and Baltimore, and attend YMCA Swimming Nationals.

I traveled through New Jersey on my way from Philadelphia to New York City in July 2007.  There wasn't a whole lot to New Jersey, so I chose New York.  None of those states really appeal to me, though, but I just chose New York.

New Jersey, of course.

Assuming you took the Turnpike, I'll let you off with a warning.  You couldn't be more wrong, and what you saw could not be less representative of the state.

I did take the I-95 Turnpike.  And, I haven't seen the southern (Atlantic City) or northwestern parts of the state.  So, I'll default to you since you know more about the state of New Jersey than I do.

Out of these four states:

DE: Crossed the state in an hour, without getting out of the car.
MD: Spent four days; liked it.
NJ: Crossed half the state in an hour, without getting out of the car.
NY: Spent a week; liked it.

I'll go with New York because Maryland is hot in August, which is when I visited..
