Let's say Sirhan Sirhan gets run over by a bus, leaving Robert Kennedy as alive as ever. It's almost a sure deal that he would have recieved the nomination, putting him up against the Nixon/Agnew ticket. For his VP, let's say Kennedy picks Al Gore, who was a long-time Senator, liberal on race-based issues, and Southern. How would the election have panned out? Don't forget, George Wallace is still lurking in the wings stealing votes.

I'm betting that Kennedy would win. Keep in mind, had the election gone only two more days (These are Nixon's numbers), Hubert H. Humphrey would have been our 37th President. I'm betting Kennedy would have won a squeaker.
