Yesterday's Results

Illinois 21 (70%)
Indiana 3 (10%)
Kentucky 2 (6.7%)
Tennessee 4 (13.3%)

Total Voters: 30

Illinois wins in a rout as expected. Despite the piss-poor competition, this was still an impressive victory for Illinois. Getting 70% in a four way poll is not something any state can do. Tennessee edges out Indiana for second. IL and TN will go to Round 2, Indiana to the wildcard and Kentucky is crushed and thrown into the wind. Good vote totals too...it seems they've been a bit higher now then they used to.

Today is the last day with Southern states. (Well, excluding Virginia if you count that) Florida, North Carolina and even Georgia have some support here I think so this could get interesting...
Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you'll live... at least for a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

Florida, Georgia are too humid... so they're out.

South Carolina was fun... couldn't imagine living there... but Nth Carolina I could cope with.

NC is supposed to be pretty nice but I've never been.  FL has lost a lot of its luster as a premiere tourist destination.  IMO.  GA is horrible because Atlanta is horrible.  I've actually been to SC and it was a really nice trip so I vote SC.

I really don't like Florida, all I remember were the dearth of hills (other than the landfills), and the rows of houses and canals... ugh. I chose Georgia because Atlanta doesn't seem horrendous, although I've never been there. My second choice was NC, but I really don't care for any of these states.

It's not easy to play homer here as I've lived in both Georgia and Florida.  I enjoyed Georgia more I think....but it's probably got more to do with Atlanta being more fun than Panama City instead of Georgia being more fun than Florida.  Disney World is cool, but the driving down there is horrid.  Between the old people, the tourists (many of which aren't even from this country) and the red necks it's a wonder anybody gets anywhere alive.  Not that Atlanta traffic is fun....I'd never want to live there again <shudder>  Still...Rome, Savanah, Marrietta and the best sports team name I've ever heard, the Macon Whoopee.

Oh God...*throws up*

I guess I'll have to go with NC. SC is automatically disqualified thanks to Bob Jones University, Georgia is disgusting (politically and sprawl-wise), and for me living in Florida would basically be living in hell.
