Let's say that Nader decided to stay as a Democrat and ran in the primaries in 2000 vs Gore and Bradley. Then, knowing that he can't get the nomination, he decides to run as a Green. Ron Paul decides to run as a Republican and has some mixed success but doesn't get the Republican nomination and decides to run as a Libertarian. With the other 2 tickets very much intact, how does this election play out? Any maps and %? Thanks! Smiley

Considering that there was no Iraq war at the time and that Paul voted to impeach Clinton, the theme of Paul's campaign would most likely attract more Republicans than Democrats. I believe he may have attracted  the 537 Republicans needed in Florida. Ultimately, Paul does roughly 200,000 votes better than Harry Browne nationwide, and an extra 10,000 better in Florida. This means that Gore is elected President after a narrow win in Florida.
