Yesterday's Result:

Nebraska   2 (9.1%)
North Dakota   5 (22.7%)
South Dakota   6 (27.3%)
Wyoming   9 (40.9%)

Total Voters: 22

In a match where voter apathy was high, Wyoming came out on top. There was an epic duel for second between the two Dakotas but ultimately South Dakota won. SD has Mt. Rushmore... ND has nothing. Wyoming and SD to Round 2, ND to the wildcard and Nebraska is finished.

Today should be good. I don't expect anything from Kansas or Oklahoma so I expect the match to be between Texas and Missouri. Texas will have a strong base but it will also have a lot of anti-votes. This could help Missouri.

I'll take Kansas. They at least have a good governor. Well, Oklahoma too, but I don't care to know what a Sooner is.

Kansas: Good governor, becoming less hardline conservative. GOP Lieutenant Gov. switched to the Dems in '06. Big minus, local school board tried to ban the Law of Evolution from being taught. Whats the matter with...?

Missouri: Elected Jim Talent in '02 for no reason. Southwest Corner is hyper-Republican. Their 70%+ vote on a marriage amendment in August 2006 is what gave the GOP the idea to put civil rights bans on the ballot in other states. On the plus side, kept John Ashcroft out of the Senate in 2000. Was a swing state, but becoming more conservative.

Oklahoma and Texas: Hate Hate Hate

4 bad choices. I'll go with Kansas

Missouri because I have friends in St. Louis.  Also, Oklahoma and Texas are horrible places that I would never want to live in.

Texas

The summer heat would turn me into a puddle, at least I could live in Austin or San Antonio.

Picked Texas. Dallas and Fort Worth are great cities.

NOBODY BETTER VOTE FOR OKLAHOMA.

For those who are picking states solely off politics - grow the hell up. Each state has more to offer that it's politics.

MO. It is the most pro-life and Bible belt-ish state, and it borders Arkansas.

It has nothing to do with being grown up. I've only been to one of these 4 states, what else am I supposed to base my opinions on?

Then base them off of nothing/ no comment

So far you've based the states off party party and Brokeback Mountain for Wyoming. Hating a state solely off politics is close minded and silly.

Missouri has more going on than Kansas.  Easy win.

Texas has Austin, Oklahoma has................

Texas wins.

One of these states gave us opebo, which is certainly greater than all of the other states' outputs combined.

Oklahoma as tribute to the big Socialist vote in once had. Pity the organisation was smashed during the First World War.
