MSNBC just mentioned the Democrats for the first time since the polls closed. And now they're back to the Republicans.

Excellent.

They didnt even mention it as a primary...it was a "democratic....whatever it is....."

Thank you, idiot Keith Olbermann.

Have a lot of black areas come in on the Democratic side?

There aren't that many that are distinct by county, just Jefferson, Gadsden and Leon. Obama's winning Leon by 21 points with 21% in, Gadsden by 18 points with <1% in, and Jefferson by 5 points with <1% in.

McCain's probably won.

MSNBC just said they'd make a "characterization" (which I assume means a call) at 8.

I think Romney was hurt badly by Dixiecrats forgetting to switch party registration. There were more votes in Baker County, 77% for Bush, for the Democrats than for the Republicans. (Romney won on the Republican side, Edwards on the Democratic side.)

Okay, so apparently when they say they'll "call the race" they mean they'll call it as "too close to call."

Idiots.

Edwards officially won Baker County, and is now ahead in Bradford County and Union County.

Obama is also ahead by 13% in Alachua County with 81% reporting and in Gadsden County by 18% with <1% reporting.  He also leads by one single vote in Hardee County with 33% reporting, and leads in Jefferson County (with <1% reporting), Leon County (with 21% reporting), and Madison County (with 9% reporting).

The rest are all Clinton all the time.

That should be good McCain country with the veterans.

The panhandle is Huckabee territory, so it will depend where his voters go.  Strategic voting.

Mac at +3 with 19%

Could you really see Huckabee voters voting for Romney...I'd think they'd be put off by a mormon

Alachua is a surprise. Anyone know why it would prefer Obama? Small black population, not a particularly liberal area from what I can tell (though it did vote for Kerry).

Edit: University of Florida

CNN just put up their exit polls... it says that Obama won blacks massively by >70% again and Clinton won whites younger than 65 by around 49%; those above 65 went to her by 62%.

He's still seen as a "good man," who generally agrees with them.

20% in, Mac +3.

Umm, no. The networks have agreed, after 2000, that they will not project races until all the polls have closed. Thus they cannot say a race is too close to call before the polls have closed. What they were telling you is that they would tell you what they know as soon as they could.

If Obama keeps the margin the same as it is now, that would be fine.

Exit polling extrapolation using gender numbers indicates McCain 32.7%, Romney 32.5%

Mitt's still in this
