If Al Gore had gotten in the race...

Let's say Gore gets in sometime in the early fall. What would've happened in the early states, and what would the race look like now?

Obama and Edwards would have been pushed down to the second tier simply because there wouldn't be enough room for them in the top tier with Hillary and Gore in the race.  Hillary would try to use her massive amount of money to stomp out Gore's grassroots appeal but he would probably win all the early voting states and then go one to win the nomination and lose the general election.

I think Gore would've won Iowa and NV.

Hillary would've won NH and SC, because there would be no racial polarization because by this point Obama would've either fizzled or dropped out and with Bill stumping heavily and more "chilled out" the black vote would've gone easily to Clinton, the "first black president."

Feb. 5th would be just as it is now:  Up for grabs, with a slight edge to Hillary.
