Rally Behind Kerry!

The Democratic Party, my party, has spoken,  the poeple want John Kerry.

Now, I do not; I would prefer John Edwards, on the grounds of likeability and electability.  Edwards will be president someday, this just isn't his year.

It is time for Democrats to rally around sen. Kerry.  We MUST win this election.  It is crucial.  This president is the only president since Herbert Hoover to lose jobs.  and, for the sake of those 3 million people who have lost their job, we must rally behind Sen Kerry.

He is not our first choice, but our only choice.

Of course Dems will rally behind Kerry when and if he is nominee.  But why is there any need to do so right now?  The whole reason that Kerry has won so many states already is that (IMHO) Dems were looking too quickly to rally behind the first candidate to show some electoral strength.

Shouldn't we allow at least a couple weeks of a one-on-one campaign between Kerry and Edwards going into Super Tuesday?  There haven't even been any real debates yet (with less than six candidates).  Sure, it looks EXTREMELY likely that Kerry will be the nominee, but shouldn't he have to prove himself in a one-on-one race before we crown him?

I agree with all that's been said, yet I still hold out hope for Edwards.  I'd at least like him to stay in the race and win some more primaries just to keep the debate alive and allow more time to assure Kerry won't fall on his face before he is annointed as the challenger to Bush.

I agree. I actually hope Dean wins Wisconsin, he deserves to win something. When everybody else was bowing to Bush, he was speaking out.

It's dissapointing.  I like Edwards ALOT more than Kerry.  Plus, I think Edwards would be loads tougher to beat.  That said, if Kerry does win the nomination, there's no doubt I'll support him over Bush.  

Whoever said it earlier, I agree.  Edwards will be president someday, I just wish it was sooner than later.

And you're not the only one who feels that way. A kerry campaign whose vast majority of supporters picked him as a second third or fourth choice because theyare ABBs- there's a fundamental unhealthiness to it that may show later.

If any president has in influence on job creation, its the one who was in office about 3-4 years before the present situation.

I agree. The Democrats should rally behind their chosen frontrunner as soon as possible.

Then the media and the American electorate can focus on the larger question:

Who the heck is John Kerry?

That's the bit of the equation which always throws Republicans.

They blame Clinton for the state of the W Bush economy but refuse to credit him with the economy of his 2nd term or credit Carter with the recovery of the Reagan years.

It's rather ironic really.
