Al Gore's electability is overstated.  Will the Democrats really nominate someone who lost to George Bush?

Just like Republicans did not shy away from re-nominating Nixon in '68, firm in their belief that the 1960 campaign was "stolen" from Nixon, Democrats will not shy away from re-nominating Gore in '08, firm in their belief that the 2000 campaign was "stolen" from Gore. Just like Republicans felt that Nixon was the right person to tackle the enormous problems in 1968 America, Democrats will feel that Gore is the right person to tackle the enormous problems in 2008 America.

I like Obama and Edwards, but there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that Gore is the best person for the job of president in this era in American history. There is also no doubt in my mind that Gore would have a much less difficult time winning the presidency.

I think the party will no doubt turn to Gore if the party has a brokered convention, or if something awful happens to the party's nominee prior to the convention. Given the extraordinary circumstances, Gore would undoubtedly accept the nomination. And if anybody can beat McCain, Gore's the one.

Things seem to have stabilized at 54-27-19, now with 49% reporting. Obama is just shy of double Clinton's vote total.

It's only half in, though admittedly a 10-point margin is unlikely to change. Still, Myrtle Beach = Clinton country.

Horry County sounds like a name. President Horry County? I think I should rename myself that, and run for president.

I'm amazed that Obama's margin is actually growing again.

The only real question left is whether Obama will get twice as many votes as Hillary...

Yeah, that's why I had to turn MSNBC off. He's MSNBC's Lou Dobbs; at least CNN understand that Lou Dobbs needs to be isolated into his own one hour block.

Big jump in reporting; 68% in and Obama still leads 54-27-19 with just over double Clinton's numbers. Obama has also officially won more votes than McCain did in the GOP primary.

I believe Giuliani just said that there are two words that define this election: Change and the economy.

Wow.

There is no word in the political vocabulary more meaningless than "change".

Does this qualify as a "convincing victory"? Seriously, it's possible that tonight's win could close the CA gap to single digits.
