I still think Huckabee can win. All that he needs is more good results from Spartanburg, and Greenville to vote for him by a good margin.

Spartanburg is at 91% reporting, though.

Several large in-land counties haven't reported yet that broke heavily for Bush in 2000... but Horry  County (strong McCain) isn't in either.

Horry County and Florence County are still out -- big George W. Bush counties.

He doesn't give me a raging hard-on either, but at least he's not McCain.

Too bad Ron Paul didn't make another double-digit finish.  Two in one day would have been great.

I can't see Huckabee pulling this out, maybe narrow McCain's victory by 1-2% but that is probably the best he can do now.

Yeah, the vote gap is just too big.

What will happen to the disaffected Thompson voters in Florida and elsewhere? Who will they go to?

The "assurance threshold" meter for calling this race must be stuck.

I think McCain's got this:

67% in: McCain is over 100,000 votes

34% - 29% McCain

34 to 29 now. I still think there is a small chance Huckabee can win.

This over and I do not know why they are not calling it.  The county numbers favor McCain strongly from what I can tell.

Horry and Florence are still out and they think they could be strong Huck counties.

They're being cautious because of the problems in Horry County today.  I'm still saying McCain +7%, because Horry County is Myrtle Beach (mainly).

But who knows, maybe I'm wrong for a change.

Greenville only has 50% in too and there is one other fairly populated county that might go to Huckabee.

Horry county (coastal county) actually is a huge McCain county...went big for him in 2000 and McCain fought to keep polls open there later

Unless Huckabee somehow musters up some 15,000 votes then I'll believe he'll win it. But its 72% in and McCain holds by 5%...eh

Could come back to bite him. Look at Obama and the Casino precincts.

And presently Huck is tied with McCain in Greenville.  He should be winning here by a decent margin.

I know, but Huckabee could still win there.
