Will any type of popular vote be recorded? The AP is reporting that Romney is leading the "overall vote" with more than 50%, with Hunter at 21% and Thompson at 17%. Is this the popular vote?

If the AP has some numbers, they're likely correct.

Probably just a straw poll of all of the convention-goers.

CNN actually just spent airtime calling a winner and reporting results.

They called it for Romney of course.

Good. Anything to give Romney a little more momentum.

Maybe this will help Romney in NH. I would love to see a Obama vs Romney  race.

The momentum out of this is going to be minimal, at best.  This is Romney's first and last non-Utah win.

And Campbell county's already-noted selection of a Romney delegate clinches Wyoming for Romney (not that it was really in doubt).

Will Dave wait until Jan 22 to add this on Atlas?

If I was Romney, I would make big noise about this win.

OK, so it's well within the realm of possibility that Giuliani goes into Feb. 5th without having won a single delegate (meaning, he'd still be trailing even Duncan Hunter in delegate count).

Per CNN's delegate tracker, Rudy Giuliani has the stated support of an RNC unpledged delegate from Maine.

Well, it's still an unpledged delegate.  There's still a chance that he goes into Feb. 5th with no pledged delegates.

Do you actually think people would give two sh**ts if he mediatized his win in Wyoming?

This is the top one or two stories on basically every major news website, and CNN has mentioned it several times. Might be bigger than we expected.

A huge win for Romney in Wyoming.

Way to go Mitt.

He will carry this momentum into New Hampshire for next Tuesday.

At least Mitt cared enough to visit the state.

Dang - I was 1 delegate off.  I thought he'd get 7 (58%) instead of 8.

I thought he'd get 9 (75%) instead of 8, so same boat.

But nobody (at least nobody who got both Iowas right) got it right, so nobody gets an advantage.
