Ok, I'll run for re-election as Governor of the Southeastern Region for the following reasons:

1. Because I can.
2. Because "Governor" appeals to chicks, and that's about all that I've got that appeals to chicks.
3.  Because I'm a reformer with a result.. maybe even two!
4. Because I think we need a southeast that is stronger at home, tolerated in the rest of the forum.
5. Because the southeastern regional website goes down if you don't re-elect me.
6. Because the Gubenatorial triple-wide trailer is comfy and I really don't want to leave.

LOL!

Governor, what is your position on the possibility of Texas entering your Region and affecting the election, possibly providing you a challenger?

I completely support the addition of Texas to the region as the residents of Texas share the common culture and heritage of the southeast.   It is fully worth any election challenge in exchange for adding a good and promising citizen such as yourself to the wealth of talent in our region.

Do you also support the addition of Virginia to the SE Region?

I think there is a 10-state limit though, and I would not give up any of the states that currently define our region.

You've got a point there....
