I think we've had a thread on this before, but I want to bring it up again since we have some new posters.

As for me, I am definitely more moderate (left) than my parents.  My parents are staunch conservatives and I am more of a moderate-populist-conservative.  I have a lot of conservative attributes, but I am generally more moderate than my parents.

My parents' views are generally similar to mine, except that I am somewhat more socialist, and support amnnesty and an open border, while they are fairly rightist on this issue.

More liberal although both are left leaning and both are registered Democrats. They are just a lot less political than me in general though.

More conservative, my mom voted for Sarkozy and has some rightist views, but is still quite left-leaning in some ways. My dad used to be a left-wing Breton nationalist, but now he's more conservative like me. The 2 are much less political than me.

Slightly more conservative than both economically- more open to free trade.  Far more liberal than dad and slightly more liberal than mom on social issues.

Well, not sure about Dad, since he died when I was 8... he loved war and WANTED to go to Vietnam. Hmmm

As for Mum, I'm more economically conservative that her (she's pretty much old school socialist on that front), but I'm much more liberal on social issues.

This is sort of a silly question. To begin with, neither ideology really is coherent anymore. There's too many contradictions, sub-categories, etc. in both groups by now for "liberal" or "conservative" to mean much. Second, my parents are all over the place, like the majority of people. For example, off the top of my head I can tell you my mom is moderately pro-life, pro-gay marriage, anti-affirmative action, pro-gun, pro-legal drugs, thinks SS and Free Trade are scams, and is an anti-communist/anti-chinese isolationist. Where does that place her on the "spectrum?"

Depends on the issue, really. We're pretty similar on economic issues (they are, after all, crazy European pinko socialists), but have some differences on social and foreign issues.

more liberal than both,  both my parents are Independents, though my mom is actually registered as a Republican & dad a Democrat (they were both surprised to learn that)  As a whole both are generally left leaning moderates on economic issues, fairly liberal on most social issues (abortion, gay marriage) moderate on law & order issues

I take you are kidding. But yes, moreso on social issues. My dad is a Catholic and he's a social conservative. My mom is liberal, but she's not as liberal as I am.

More liberal, definitely.

Both my parents are in the far-right camp when it comes to social issues.

More conservative, I suppose... definitely more than my dad, not really much different at all from my mom.

They are much more socially conservative and I am much more ecomically conservative (we have Flat Tax fights all the time!).  My mom also is liberal on the environment.
