I don't know how you Americans do things, but here in Canada we don't have Thatnksgiving food.  In fact, we don't even have any thatnks to give.

Also, mashed potatoes (but only with gravy), with stuffing a very close second.

The poll is on side dishes.  Turkey is a given.

For me, it's stuffing, then cranberry sauce/relish.

I could just eat the stuffing and mashed potatoes and call it a day.

I've had chicken and cornish hens on Thanksgiving instead of Turkey before.  It's better than turkey 90% of the time.

Pumpkin pie with real whipped cream - I've got a serious sweet tooth.

As far as turkey goes, I'm not all that fond of it. I'll eat it, but frankly I'm not going to go for it outside of Thanksgiving. I prefer a good Honey-Baked Ham, though if the turkey is fried it's a lot better.

My aunt always makes this green jello-with-nuts-apples-raisins thing that we only have on Thanksgiving, so that. Stuffing and pumpkin pie 2-3 obviously.

The only Thanksgiving food I like (turkey included) is pecan pie, so I guess that. We're having ham.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA... *lame Canadian joke that Thanksgiving 2007 has already passed*  HAHAHAHAHAHHAA

j/k.. I love Canadians... I mean, I practically am one, minus state health care.

My favorite Thanksgiving food is stuffing, and it doesn't surprise me that stuffing is the favorite among midwesterners considering that we are the breadbasket of the nation.

I do like sweet potatoes though.. with lots of brown sugar, butter, and marshmallows.

You go straight to hell.  No purgatory!!!!!!

(actually, if you must have an alternative meat, ham would be by far the best option)

Pie is the only Thanksgiving food I really would eat outside of Thanksgiving.  I can tolerate stuffing and cranberry sauce, though.

I picked Green Bean Casserole, but my mom makes these Scalloped Potatoes that blow the rest of the choices out of the water. I've never eaten Mashed Potatoes on thanksgiving, actually.

Pecan Pie, with stuffing a close runner-up.

The side dishes > Turkey.

Stuffing easily followed by both types of pie, Pecan and Pumpkin.

Besides the turkey? My dad's cranberry sauce. He throws in walnuts, orange juice and other things which makes it delicious. It's like crack to me. But honestly everything is good.

We're having pretty awesome cranberry sauce

It's homemade (real cranberries) with orange peel, ginger, cranberry juice, and cranberries.. it's really good.

And we're also having mashed potatoes with potatoes that were harvested recently from a local farm... they're so f**king good... even though mashed potatoes are kind of boring...

I've never liked mashed potatoes. Too bland for me I guess, regardless of what you put in them. Sweet Potatoes on the other hand...

Well I had a delicious dinner of day old pizza this year.

Basically the equivalent of the infamous "rock" on Halloween.

The leftovers...

Throwing the turkey, stuffing, potatoes and cranberry sauce onto a couple of dinner roles, smothered in gravy for lunch the next day is always great! Smiley
