I dont understand why so many Republicans are backing Giuliani because of electability when McCain does better against Clinton both nationally and in a lot of states.  I guess McCain has burned too many bridges, but still, he would seem to be more tolerable to the social conservatives.

Obama does way better than Hillary in Iowa. He is over 50% in every matchup and he easily beats McCain (who Clinton loses to).

Clinton 44 - McCain 48
Clinton 47 - Giuliani 43
Clinton 49 - Romney 43
Clinton 49 - Huckabee 43

Obama 52 - McCain 40
Obama 52 - Giuliani 39
Obama 53 - Romney 39
Obama 56 - Huckabee 35

Interesting - Iowa is also the only state that can be said to have experienced GE-level coverage of all candidates.

I do like New McCain better than Old McCain.  He's moved up to my second preference on the GOP lately, should Rudy not last until Feb 5.
