I thought Surrey was an English town?

Surrey is indeed an English county. However Michael Gove still represents them; he was born in Edinburgh and was adopted and lived in Aberdeen IIRC. There are many Scottish born MP's holding seats in England it's not really considered unusual.

I guess. Sucks for Surrey natives though.

I'm glad we don't do things here that way. At least we require politicians to have to own property where they represent.
