A white MP in a heavily Asian constituency. He's from the traditional right of the party and has a background in the unions as a back-room operator. His selection as candidate has more than once been disputed, and been the subject of all sorts of allegations.

Has he been selected to another seat yet? I hope he doesn't succeed.

Last I heard he was after the new Hall Green seat; not sure if he's been selected or not yet, but it's only a matter of time.
The right of the party almost always has the advatage in Brum/Black Country Labour selections (which is why Jones gave up in new Selly Oak without a fight) and when it comes to internal elections going the way he wants them to, Godsiff has always been something of a genius.
