Background:
Born; July 7th, 1946 in Alberton, New Ulster to English parents; both of whom were political organizers for various liberal causes (most notably anti-war causes). Barrett, in his younger years, was a popular folk singer. He could often be found in a shady folk lounge, ripe with the stench of herb, banging out tunes for the anti-war crowd.
While hardly remembered for his music, Barrett has since made a name for himself as a radical liberal activist within the very small Antillian Green Party. He is considered a hero by many young radicals and can often be seen giving stump speeches from atop a wooden box on a street corner downtown.
Barrett ran, only once, for mayor of Alberton as the candidate of the Alberton Green Party. Despite gaining an relatively high 11%, Barrett lost by a lop-sided margin to the incumbent; ultimately finishing in 3rd place.
