Republicans don't care about that!  Didn't you realize they lost the 2006 elections because they weren't conservative enough.  They need to go as far right as they can in order to win back the trust of the American people.

You're joking... Though in 2004, the senatorial candidates endorsed attacks on abortion doctors... but in 2007, one of the leading pundids of the GOP now call for the suspension of voting rights for half the population. You think it will pay off?
