Paul and Duke both share the same views that the Jews control the world, the Holocaust never happened, and that most black people should be lynched.

I suspect all of this is the reason why there's so much Ron Paul support on here.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say Paul is pretty embarrassed by this. Even Pat Buchanan was embarrassed when Duke endorsed him years ago.

Publically "embarrassed"? Or actually embarrassed?

I wonder if some on the forum are aware of some of the comments Ron Paul has made in the past.  Makes Buchanan rather tame by comparison.

Hmm, well this is a bit distressing, but I do not think Paul is an anti semite. Remember that Fred Phelps endorsed Al Gore in 2000, and that did not mean that Al Gore hated the gays, for instance. But Duke and Paul both dislike and are opposed to the Neoconservative agenda, though for different reasons, so this seems like a logical endorsement to me.

As for if Paul gets too much liberal support, I will agree that domestically there would be few areas where Paul and liberals would be in agreement. But for those to who war and a dovish foreign policy are the most pressing issues, Paul is an acceptable candidate, and probably the most viable and successful immediate pull out candidate [though that does not really say much.]

there's also alot of hippies adn liberals supporting him because the message of liberty brings together unusual alliance. Also David Duke no longer promotes racism but I ca't say if he still has those views or not.

Ron Paul has amassed quite possibly the weirdest conglomeration of supporters I've ever seen.

and didn't the mostly black audience at that NAACP debate or whatever it was cheer Paul on numerous occasions when he called for an end to "the war on drugs"?    I can actually envision in Paul a candidate who could get a sizeable number of black Americans and neo-nazis and hippies to vote for him.

Ron Paul Rising!: Dismissed by Jews, Embraced by Blacks

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Paul wins the biggest chunk of the black vote, 22.2 percent, topping Mitt Romney's 18.5 percent. One problem: There aren't very many black New Hampshire Republicans. Only 27 were sampled in this poll, and Paul won six of them. Hey, he gets bragging rights.

In related (old) news, Paul won't be at the Republican Jewish Coalition's candidate forum next week. The first reason given: They only invited the "top" candidates. The second reason given, since they included the never-serious Sam Brownback: Paul votes against aid to Israel.

Duke still hates blacks. This fact becomes pretty obvious when you visit his website.

Which is why he's at like 1-2% of the vote, right?
