Has one of the most interesting heads of hair in the Commons. A lot of people reckon it can't be natural, but on the other hand, who would buy a wig that looked like that?

He's popular in his constituency. He managed to survive the 1997 Labour landslide by a narrow majority, which was good going considering that Labour had won the predecessor seat of Mid Staffordshire in a by-election in 1990.

I used to think it was a wig. Now I'm not so sure; perhaps it's actually a very, very, very bad hair transplant?
