If LBJ had taken Joe Kennedy's deal and gotten the nomination, how much closer would the election have been?  Discuss with maps.

Eisenhower/Nixon: 339
Johnson/Kennedy: 192

The map looks plausible, although it's possible that Ike would have won by a larger margin, perhaps as large as the one in the actual election.
