I've voted in every presidential election since 1976, and I have voted for the Democratic candidate every time (not always too happily). It isn't that I would never, ever dream of voting for a Republican, just that in every case since I've been voting, I've preferred the Democrat.

I voted for Carter in 80 and regretted it.
I voted for Reagan in 84 and regretted it.
I voted for neither in 88 - was disgusted with both.
With great enthusiam I voted for Clinton in 92 and 96 and did not regret it.
In 2000 I voted for Gore and watched those 36 days with great fascination.
In 2004 I almost pulled the lever for Bush, but almost.

I bet you can guess who I will vote for in 2008.
Well, you are wrong
I don't know yet.

Gee, 2008 is going to be suspensful.....

If I could have voted in the past, I would have voted as follows:

1932-1944 FDR
1948 Dewey
1952 Ike
1956 Ike
1960 Tossup
1964 Johnson
1968 Humphrey
1972 Nixon
1976 tossup
