Texasindy had it deleted because she's running for city council.

Seriously though, it's a very good question.

It's exhausted. We'll be opening a comedy leadmine in the neighborhood within the next 1 to 50 years, though.

How could she delete it? Did she create it?

I suspect two ways...

1. An administrator/moderator took it off - though I doubt it without an explaination.
2. Someone hacked into the system. LOOK OUT, Sky-Net is controlling us!!!!

I think quite a few posts in it were deleted, probably by Alcon. I dont remember what I said as being too offensive.

The thread's creator, Gabu, couldn't have deleted it as the power to delete your own threads has been removed.  Alcon has already shown us here that it apparently wasn't him, and he certainly wouldn't have deliberately deleted the whole thing anyway.  That just leaves Dave, who might have done it semi-accidentally as a response to a reported post.  It has precedence; i.e. the fantasy election registration thread previous to the current one.

Whatever it was - damn.

I don't think that was deleted. I think Dave just created a new one and asked us to cease using the old one because he was getting bounced notifications of every reply.

I use my powers of edit to name this thread the Comedy Mineshaft--SHAFT.

All comedy now belongs here and not in Naso's thread. Wink

"rock, paper, sissors"?

In Texas, we just say "Draw!" and unsnap our holsters

That's what got your Senator Craig in trouble, jmfcst.

God dammit, it was Dave Leip.

He deleted a thread where I posted an IM from the fake Texasindy within minutes.  No surprise then that he'd also delete an *ENTIRE* goldmine thread, a staple of the forum, because the last couple pages were concerned with more fake IMs from texasindy.

On the governors race, I don't care who runs any state. The only things I care about are if it's possible that they can win a future senate race and if they can do good for branding for the party.

I'm sure the people of Louisiana share your sole interest in "winning" one for the Democratic Party.  Almost as good as football!  Except instead of football, it's addressing major issues in a state ravaged by death and destruction.  Game on!

Ha, I saw my parents yesterday and my mom had just visited the state fair and I asked her if she had seen any of those. She said yes.

He Is Gporter & He is Running For President
CENTERVILLE, IOWA -- According to a new poll conducted by J. Engle Research of Centerville, Iowa, Republican Party candidate gporter leads all of his rivals for the 2007 Atlasian presidential nomination.

In a poll conducted September 3rd-August 31st, 2007, J. Engle Research surveyed 850 likely voters and 115 unlikely ones regarding their preferences.  The results were as follows:

gporter (R) 50%
kljackson (D) 44%

gporter (R) 48%
Lyod Benstien (D) 46%

gporter (R) 61%
Mike "Floydbuster" Naso (D) 41%

This is especially impressive in light of Mr. gporter's low name recognition.  When asked, 45% of survey respondents indicated familarity with Mr. gporter, 40% were not familiar, and 15% were familiar but wished they were a lot more familiar, if you know what J. Engle Research means.

But not all news is rosy for Mr. gporter  Poll results also indicated mixed opinions on banning gays and lesbins, bringing God back to America, and giving a good and fair police to people.  But a full 72% of voters indicated that they hated guy people, but would pray for them, a central point of Mr. gporter's platform.

Much of gporter's support comes from his excellent performance among the GOP base, a full 86% of which indicated they approved of him.  Said Susan Berkowitz of High Point, N.C., "I am a Republican i Vote Republican And that Makes it Real."

District 3 Senator:

[  ] afleitch (I-WI)
[X] PBrunsel (R-IA)

I want to thank you guys for the fun fantasy atlasia game...but after three years on the atlas fantasy election game board, I am leaving. I look forward to continue posting on the other board discussions here on the Atlas Forum, however.

Admit it, you just don't want to give us any indication of how old you are. Smiley

Yes MODU, please tell us when you first listened to FDR's fireside chats! Smiley

Actually, my guess would be the Lincoln/Douglas debates.

For your third and final question. Yes, I believe that we will be endorsed by the republican party. We now lead the other republican hopefuls by decent margins. I believe that our closest competitor is kljackson, but we lead him by six points in the recent poll. So, I believe that we will be endorsed by the republican party. Thank you.

this question, too, is only for mr. Porter of Tennessee.

What should be the national sport of atlasia and why? Your choices are croquet and tag.

Also, What do you think of your chances of winning?

Edit: Also, do you think you will be endorsed by a party?

For your first question, I believe that all of the sports now played in Atlasia should be played. WE should not pick one and drop the others. This way it gives everyone a choice on which game to play or which sporting event to attend.

For your second question. I think that our tickets chances of winning are reasonably good. I believe that if we fight hard, that we will be seen as the strongest ticket politically and that the people of Atlasia will support us.

For your third and final question. Yes, I believe that we will be endorsed by the republican party. We now lead the other republican hopefuls by decent margins. I believe that our closest competitor is kljackson, but we lead him by six points in the recent poll. So, I believe that we will be endorsed by the republican party. Thank you.
as a follow-up question, Mr Porter...

If kljackson were to win the republican nomination, would you support him, or would you support Lyod Benstein or Mairo Cumo instead?

I may not support kljackson for the presidency, if he were to win the nomination. I would be forced in that case to either support someone else or not vote at all. I have a personal reason for not supporting kljackson. And no just because I would not support kljackson, does not mean that I would support Lloyd Bentsen or Mario Cuomo. Thank you.

The whole thread is just Comedy Goldmine material.
