" Special elections to the Senate shall begin within ten days of the vacancy occurring and shall begin between midnight Eastern Standard Time on a Thursday and 0001 Eastern Standard Time on the first Friday thereafter, and shall conclude exactly 72 hours after beginning. "

Has a vacancy (for the pusposes of the amendment) occured?
DWTL has stated he'll resign pending an election to replace him - such an eventuality is not something I've encountered before in Atlasia. However, he has clearly intimated his intention to remain as Senator for the time being - thus no vacancy has actually arisen and the 11th Amendment may not come into effect.

If his statement is construed by the Department of Forum Affairs such as to occur a vacancy then yes, an election will be held in accordance with the terms of the 11th Amendment above.
