I know this would never have happened in a million years, but in 1984, Ronald Reagan comes out as a communist who hates America and the Republicans go with Flynt, who actually ran briefly, for whatever reason. The Democrats pick former Vice President and all-around Freedom Fighter Walter Mondale.
I just wanted a "Mondale wins in 1984" scenario, to be honest.
