It's unfair to include FDR without an asterisk mentioning that he held the office at least twice more than anyone else, in complete violation of American custom.

Looks like FDR was the man.  (and he was)

Arguably the best president ever.  The only others that the historians have in contention are Lincoln and Washington.

Well that's a different point altogether and does not belong in this thread. Although, speaking of "Nixon" and "ill"...I'll keep my judgement to myself.
