Not buying it. Giuliani leads in this religious right bastion? McCain in second? Nope.

Good news for Giuliani.  Not so sure it'll last though.  As soon as Thompson enters the race, these poll results will change completely.

The polls in SC have been incredibly erratic:

CNN/Time is a crappy poll, but Giuliani is probably second or first in nearly Southern state presently. (Thompson is the other part of the duo).  This forum's constant misreading of how the GOP in the South actually works/votes is highly amusing sometimes.

The McCain number surprises me, he is probably in 3rd right now.  Romney and the South are like chalk and cheese.  We should take that into account more when assessing his chances than ad-saturated Iowa and New Hampshire (imho)

Romney may end up winning NH and IA but his momentum he had built up by building leads in those two states is clearly gone by now.

Romney on 4%? Around 10%, sure, and as low as a close fourth place, but not at 4%. Both of these SC polls look like trash.

These polls are crap. I would bet good money that Obama and Thompson have at least small leads in South Carolina.
