Had to stop reading here. Quite biased.

Basically, "Dems have power, but it's still not their fault." When things went downhill under Trump during Covid in 2020, Dems flocked to the idea that Trump is directly to blame, in spite of Dems' control of Senate and House

If you are a voter worried about crime or the price of groceries and gas for your car, it’s very easy to blame Biden and his party, since they are “in charge” now.

Of course, Biden and the Democrats are not really “in charge,” since the GOP controls the House, and Senate Republicans can block legislation by filibustering. Earlier this year, Republicans blocked a major legislative initiative on the southern border just to keep the issue alive for the next election.

He's correctly pointing out a salient factor in this (or any) election, which is that voters have a tendency to blame the party in power, in this case Biden and Democrats, for some things that are beyond their control, and this is likely to affect their votes.  This is observation, not bias.

From the “Opinion” piece by Stuart Rothenberg:

Quote
With public opinion polls of the 2024 presidential contest ranging somewhere between unreliable and delusional, it’s difficult to know exactly where the contest now stands.

He knows.

The rest of what he wrote is nonsense.

Stuart Rothenberg is a waste of time.

Obviously just a bit of good luck for now, but a miracle if things remain this way or worsen before November.

I was going to say that it wouldn't take much for the tone of the race to shift to Biden's favour, but wow, this article really is delusional. I thought the narrative was "Biden has so many accomplishments that people don't pay attention to" but here it's "of course Biden has no accomplishments, thanks to the dysfunctional congress." Which, yeah, congress is truly in disarray, we all remember all the Speaker vote chaos, but you can't have Biden be both an unsung hero presiding over the strongest economy in history, and a hapless victim hamstrung by congresional obstruction. Or if they do want to run with that, then the DNC really needs to do better at highlighting Biden's few accomplishments rather than just calling everyone frustrated with the status quo misinformed.

I don't think he needs a miracle.

I still think the debate, if he makes the most of it, and maybe Trump's actual sentencing could grant him that little bit of luck he needs.

All he needs is a perfect storm and a literal one.
The three swing states he needs are all close to one another and the weather could be bad in all three at the same time. A perfect storm could possibly decrease motivation to come out and vote, especially if one doesn't particularly want to vote for that person anyway.

Running against a convicted felon was already the miracle, and yet he still needs some good luck on top of that.

I will wait to see if Trump gets a sentence which he deserves before I would expect to see him still leading after 7 11.
