I'm not excusing this, but if Trump were to do this nobody would bat an eye.

Maybe this is just Fetterman being a "populist."

If it were the pro-terrorist trash usually stalking him I'd be in favor, but she was being polite and bringing up a legit issue, so this comes off poorly.

You cannot respond to every single failing of an incumbent Democrat by saying, "but Trump..." Everyone knows what Trump is, and he has nothing to do with this particular moment.

The fact of the matter is that Fetterman acted immaturely and in a manner not befitting his office. His continual lack of respect for his office and for the gravity of his title is always on display. Obama, who was considered a "casual President" could put on a suit jacket and shirt. I'm expected at my job to wear a uniform, shouldn't Fetterman wear his?

But to the matter at hand, for such a supposed "everyman" his contempt for the regular person is pretty shocking.

You can when Trump lowered the standard for everybody.

Right now there are former felons applying to jobs and getting rejected due to their past, and yet one has possibly over a 50-50 chance to be the f***ing President.

When Trump becomes irrelevant, if ever, then we can actually move on from him.

I really don't care about the hoodies and stuff, but this was just plain rude. He could've politely asked her to call his office ahead of time for interviews and left it at that rather than mockingly pretend to be interested and shut her off... while also recording her on his own phone for some weird reason.

I want to like this guy. I do. But he's not making it easy for me and the more of this stuff I see from him, the less I want him running for president. Even Obama wasn't this high on his own supply.

Do you care to respond to the topic at hand, and actually comment on Fetterman's behavior itself, or do you wish to continue retorting to "BUT TRUMP"?

Mayhaps my glasses aren't as strong as they appear, perhaps my vision is dimmer than I thought it was...But I do not see the name 'Trump' in the thread title, and...I watched it again, I don't see him in the video.

Perhaps you have some sort of special vision which allows you to see Trump dancing upon Fetterman's shoulder, whispering in his ear, guiding his action?

If not, I retort: Will you comment on Fetterman's behavior?

This seems an acted situation. Look at how the girl laughts at the end.

It mentions the Senator participated in an enviromental protest in 2018.

This is where the link at the end goes to:
https://www.mobilize.us/sunrisemovement/event/354486/

Edit: Now I looked at Sunrise Movement's ig page, and it is a very antizionist page. So they went for him...
I'm not sure what Fetterman wanted to do recording the girl.
Maybe he was busy.
Maybe he saw the 'protester vs Mast' clips and expected something similar.
Maybe he is just mean.

I already said I am not excusing him. That's an admonishment.

he used to be so much better as Lt. Governor. I am starting to wonder about how much the stroke affected him because while he was definitely very "f**k you" at times (the israel flag unfurling in front of protestors was definitely in character like how he did the same with gay and weed flags at the state capitol) before but this... seems out of character

This was predicable, everyone knew he was a dick; his supporters just got mad at everyone who brought it up.

Was this - and Fetterman's other recent controversies - really a price worth paying for not having a Senator "who lives in New Jersey?"

Yes. Though with hindsight I'd rather Lamb had won the primary. If Fetterman stands for reelection in 2028 he will lose.

Hot take: With his health issues and potential fading approvals among Dems, I tend to believe he doesn't run for reelection. You heard it here first.

I've always thought it's to show contempt for his office and to basically give a middle finger to his constituents - haha, you elected a bum - FCK YOU. And this video kinda proves what I felt. It's not a "Gen X break with decorum", he's just a guy high on his own supply who thinks he's Caesar.

Imagine him giving a speech like the "we got Bin Laden" speech in sweaty hoodie and a messy goatee. Yeah. Real Presidential. Maybe he could flip off the camera at the end, cause, that's soo coollll maann.
