A Lee Zeldin coalition could probably flip NJ, or at least make Democrats sweat. Suburbs are almost universally trending left, but one of the big exceptions of course is NYC, especially Staten, which is basically an extension of NJ.

But the factors that led to increased GOP support in suburban NYC in 2022 probably don't exist in NJ, while more broadly, the suburbs are trending left. NJ also has a very high rate of college graduates, slightly higher than NY, so that doesn't help the GOP either.

Some kind of "New GOP" might be able to do it. Imagine a GOP that is more of a reskinned version of the right flank of Clinton era Democrats.
