Not gonna lie, Netanyahu's Israel worked hard to earn this (dis)honor.

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/06/07/middleeast/un-israel-global-list-children-intl-latam/index.html

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has added Israel’s military to a global list of offenders that have committed violations against children, his spokesman confirmed on Friday.

Israel had been told it is being placed on the list in the secretary-general’s annual report on children in armed conflict, to be sent to the UN Security Council next Friday, Stephane Dujarric told a press briefing.

Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad were also added to the list, according to a diplomatic source, along with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Excellent that the UN did this.

We can sit here and talk about how useful or useless the UN are, but at least they have the balls to call a spade a spade and stand up to Israel and their allies. This may not end up doing much, but it's preferable to the UN being cowards.

“UN is a joke organization”
“What about Hamas?”
“Israel is our ally and can do whatever it wants”
“The allied world leaders would be charged with war crimes under these definitions”
“The 2002 invasion of Hague act is based”

Post Cold War Liberal Internationalism is dead and Biden helped kill it too. The fact is we simply do not only not care what the UN/ICC think but you can also apply it to the WTO as well.

Our foreign policy is back to being primarily about maintaining American Hegemony and that doctrine is bipartisan as well.

If anything, it's the exact opposite. The US military rarely actually does anything to protect Americans in the modern era, and much as I hate to admit, Trump has a point when he says that other countries haven't been pulling their weight financially, at least as far as NATO is concerned. The only good thing to come out of Putin's atrocities is that these countries are starting to go back on their "leave everything to the US" attitude.

But if you put Israel first, as you always do, or even Ukraine first, you put America last. The US military was never created with the intention of being the world's police force or supporting any nation "unconditionally," and George Washington warned us about the problems we face today as far as hegemony and entanglements are concerned. Literally no one in America except military contractors benefit from them.

Russia is on the list I believe. We'll see about China, though.

And that’s a bad thing.

And no, neither China nor Russia (lol) can attain hegemony—nor, increasingly, the US. Trying to bring back American dominance is both delusional and dangerous.

Post Cold War liberal internationalism failed and it’s time to move away from that . The UN , WTO , ICC are all irrelevant organizations in todays day and age

Notice I did not add NATO because NATO is fundamentally a pro American hegemony organization. That’s why it’s good and why it’s expansion is good
