The People's Party is supportive of higher taxes and higher tax incentives designed to reward those who are working. It is stridently neutral on abortion and is stridently against it becoming a big national issue. It believes in quasi-corporatist politics and supports encouraging unionization through tax policy, but it also supports regulations on strikes. In foreign policy it is fairly dovish and opposes economic disruption. It is a broad church on many social issues and it is focused on economic management and maintaining consensus politics. Its leadership takes inspiration from other countries and keeps an eye on what other countries are doing. It believes in government guiding the economy to some extent, a "social market economy". Efforts to institute co-determination recently failed due to Social Liberal stonewalling.

The Social Liberal Party is a fairly libertarian party, opposed to taxes and welfare and largely centered on social issues. It is strongly pro choice and supports the reversal of the Hyde Amendment. It is strongly anti-union and supports reversing recent reforms from the People's Party which streamlined labor union election regulations, making it easier to form a union. It is quite hawkish and advocates much higher defense spending, as well as tariffs on a high scale against "flagrantly illiberal" governments. While the People's Party opposes both legalizing and outlawing some things like prostitution, the Social Liberals are strongly in favor of legalizing, while leaving it up to the "free market" how they develop. Recently the Social Liberals have grown more opposed to bureaucracy and many senior party leaders have grouped together HR departments and government bureaus as "oppressive to the common man and his desire to live freely".
