I looked and looked, but I didn't see a thread on Trump literally referencing a "unified reich" in a new ad his team released.

And here he is ignoring questions about the ad at his porn star hush money trial (relatable!).

Trump is out here once again taking a page from the Nazi playbook, and Atlas would rather argue about the cost of brand name peanut butter.

This is not a normal election, and we need to act like it.

Once again, for anyone else, this would be a 5 day story, but with Trump, it's just met with a "meh"

It's a disturbing state of play when Trump has done so many irregular and norm-breaking things that each time he does another one, everyone is just numb to it, and in turn, just shrugs.

The video you linked even says it refers to WW1 Imperial Germany not Nazis. Trump's family faced discrimination in America for their German heritage back in day. This is a reach anyway, you have to squint to actually see it too.

Trump's most masterful trick, one that succeeds even if he fails to understand it, is to so debase politics to make it seem a vile and inhuman activity, one in which decent and principled people cannot participate without soiling themselves. He has done so since 2015, even against Barack Obama, one of the most decent and competent Presidents that we have ever had.

This is one way in which to scare good people out of politics. The question is when he also disgruntles his supporters. Trump is a spoiled, privileged plutocrat devoid of any religious sensibilities, yet he has gotten people much unlike him to believe that he is one of them. He reaches for the gutter in human existence, a part of the psyche that most of us do everything to keep safely tucked away. Most of us have inhibitions against the vilest nastiness that lurks below the surface: greed, lust, cruelty, bigotry, treachery, and laziness -- things inconsistent with prosperity and civility that we usually take for granted. Were it not for those inhibitions we would find ourselves in the jungle, and we know it. No, Somalia is not a jungle (it is mostly desert).

Admit it folks: without those needful inhibitions we too would be much like him. If we were in business we would do odometer fraud and scamming insurance companies. We would be mobsters if somewhat sophisticated in our criminality or petty thieves and rapists. We would be boozing and whoring despite having children to take care of. We would see the English teacher who puts a boring spelling assignment before us or a math teacher who has us learning how to find the surface area of a sphere a pedantic irrelevancy.

With those inhibitions we know that easy money is mostly a cruel myth, that success in life depends upon thrift, investment, dedication, self-control, empathy, and recognition of the complexity of human nature. We grow up. We learn to observe and find reliable sources of knowledge and use them and reject superstition and bigotry. We don't ridicule people for simply being down on their luck for having endured crippling and congenital faults. We eschew drugs. We find dumb entertainments crashing bores. We show sexual loyalty to our spouses. We obey laws that we find inconvenient -- from drug laws to traffic laws.

This guy is a troll. He changes his persona every time he comes back here. Next time he'll be posting about how Nazi Republicans don't care about democracy or something. The mods don't ban him because they do nothing to combat spam on this forum.

The video you linked even says it refers to WW1 Imperial Germany not Nazis. Trump's family faced discrimination in America for their German heritage back in day. This is a reach anyway, you have to squint to actually see it too.

People experienced discrimination for all sorts of things in those days, including being "white trash".

Much of what was said about German-Americans was also said about Jews. The Ashkenazim were probably more like German-Americans than any other ethnic group in culture. You know how it goes if you are a German-American: you will experience antisemitic bigotry at some point in your life. I had a persistent detractor on the Web who accused me of all the classic defamations of Jews. I chose to attack those defamations against Jews, and I found that he was attacking Jews in this supposed defense of Germans and German-Americans. Well, I have often confused Jews and German-Americans, and I fit a few Jewish stereotypes, including cultural and ethical values that I consider virtues and not vices. I finally hit him for attacking someone that he thought that he was protecting from harsh Jewish judgment. I have never had problems with Jews. Of course I have also made clear that I hate Nazis for doing bad things to innocent people, the definitive evil of Nazism.

I told him that if I had to choose between being a Jew and a Nazi I would convert to Judaism because I could keep more of my culture intact and abandon no morals. Too bad about pork and shellfish.

Its almost like after a decade of the media lies, ridiculous hyperbole, and crying wolf, normies have learned to just tune out these derptastic nonsense headlines about Trump. Its hilarious seeing these lefty hack media pundits claiming if Trump gets elected President in 2024 he will be a dictator and wont leave office. Like bro, hes already been President and he wasnt a dictator and did leave office. They spent 3 years investigating fake Russia collusion and the only take away from those 3 years was that obama illegally spied on Trump and still didnt find anything that sticks.

I dont intend to read this thread anymore once I post but Im sure 10 red avs will swarm in and screech that omg he WAS a dictator as president derpity derp.

This is a video template i was able to find on Envato Elements, same text and all. So no, Trump did not "invoke Nazi Germany".

One more reason to dump Trump. Biden needs to sign Executive Order to deport those 74M who voted for that Clown!

No we're not, because nothing matters and this country, after seemingly regaining its sanity in 2020, 2022, and 2023 suddenly decided to be apathetic again.

Well, the moderates where things like this would impact the most are moderate jews. A good number of them see Trump as a lesser evil for his record on Israel...
Biden would need to criticize Tlaib or soemthing like that to recover those voters, and its not like that would help him much with the rest...

Feel like that while joe taking the pro-israel stand for now he going to flip-flop when progressives meltdown about this and again cause him to damage his jewish and moderate dem vote again.

His is already flip flopping about it. Also, his response to the protest can be seen as "soft", even if it´s not like releasing the national guard would be acceptable for many.
I suppose his stance is similar to a  lot of americans, but I doesn´t appeal much to the people most interested in the conflict on either side.

I think it's not actually a campaign ad. However he did post it so if he really didn't know that was there he needs to apologize on camera and disown the video. This obviously won't happen in Trump's case but I think that's the minimum that should be expected of anyone in this situation.
