His story is like a bit filmlike: Mixed kid who grow up in XIX Century Kansas, read law, was elected to Congress, wrote the Curtis Act, became Senator Majority Leader in a strong time for his party and finally was VP during the Great Depression.

I donīt usually like conservative Republicans (he was one, even if he was the sensible that could reach across the aisle conservative type), but I relate a bit to him for obvious reasons.

Did you read my post about the recent ugly news in my country?
I will give you and everybody in the forum permission to write all the slurs you want.
There is a protest on Friday, hopefully in have time to go.
