Inspired by the longest flight thread: what's the SHORTEST flight you've been on?  Commercial airline flights only.

I think mine is San Francisco (SFO) to Santa Rosa (STS), which is 66 air miles or 106 km.

I've done both Vancouver-Seattle and Seattle-Portland as connections on longer flights. It looks like Vancouver-Seattle is slightly shorter, but only by a few miles.

You've already been on the shortest flight operated in the US by any major airline, congratulations Tongue

Mine is Greenville/Spartanburg to Charlotte at about 75 miles. And I've even done it in first class.

The 24th largest airline in the U.S. doesn't count? For me it's this 54-miler on Hawaiian:

Still, Muon almost certainly wins overall with this 9-mile flight:

I believe I heard the shortest flight in the world is from one island off the coast of Scotland to another, and the plane is in flight for about a minute.

Portland-Medford probably, about a 45 minute flight or so.

Usually due to an overshoot from SFO-PDX.

When I served in the navy I regularly took flights from the Souda Bay Naval Base to Athens.
It lasted only about half an hour.

From Tampa to Orlando.  The company I was working flew me.  I could have driven in the same amount of time.

Flying from Seattle's Boeing Field to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island (and back again) on Kenmore Air, a 45 minute flight.

Toronto to Detroit and vice versa with Air Canada

It's only about & 45-minute flight

It's possible Paris-Lyon is that short or shorter, but I haven't flown that route since I was 10 so I can't remember now (when I go to Lyon it's by TGV train these days)

I've done both SMF -> LAS and ORD -> CLE and vice versa on each. I think those are probably the shortest for me.

I once flew a leg from Asheville (AVL) to Charlotte (CLT).  Seemed pretty short!

Vancouver (YVR) to Victoria (YYJ), probably spent more time taxiing than actually flying
