Good , the ICC should not be respected. Their rulings don’t matter at all and we should actively help Israel obstruct whatever they want to do

This is a very smart move, as the likely alternative is Israeli forces invading the country that takes their officials hostage.

So threatening a prosecutor for doing their job is “good” and a “smart move”? JFC you two are insane

This court has no authority to prosecute Israeli officials.

If anything, Mr. Karim should move forwards with this investigation with even more vigor. Justice and accountability for Israeli actions must be served, irregardless of what Bibi and his dickriders want or not.

But remember, guys, Trump will meet the demands of the pro-Palestine protesters once he's back in office.

This is rediculous. I don’t know any other nation that’s as hamfistedly loyal to another that they think they’re immune to war crimes.

Yes, but that wasn't my point. It's obviously that some pro-Palestine protesters would like to sink Biden's reelection because he's too pro-Israel. Not considering that his replacement would almost certainly be worse from their point of view.

This is as much about establishing a pattern of deterrence to keep the ICC from unilaterally targeting American or American-allied officials who are not party to the ICC.

ICC has every right to prosecut all of thr Israeli officials in charge of the crimes against humanity being conducted in the Gaza strip. Fascists will always threatens those who seek to challenge their banter, no surprise a right-wing elected official wants to intimidate outside forces who wants to prosecute powerful officials for wrongdoings.

Fundamentally too many ideologues think that the country is actually with them and the only reason they don’t get what they want is because of their  “sellout party leadership” . It’s probably much easier to blame that then accept that :

- no the country is actually against their points of views

- they have to put in actual hard work in trying to convince others why their position is correct rather than just protest loudly about it

So if the US or an allied country commits war crimes they are above reproach?

People do realize that the US is legally obligated to invade the Netherlands if a US official winds up in the dock, right? This isn't some crazy new Republican policy.

Even if this happened, Karim would still not be the Khan brother seen by the Western public as the most embarrassing.
