Yeah, it's another DailyKos straw poll. May numbers in paratheses.

Edwards 40 (39)
Obama 22 (24)
Clinton 6 (6)
Richardson 5 (8 )
Kucinch 3 (2)
Gravel 1 (3)
Dodd 1 (0)
Biden 0 (0)

I just don't get how he could win.....

Not unless Richardson and Biden get out......

IN other news, Richardson continues to fall at DK while rising in NH and Iowa (or at least remaining stable).

But Dodd is the ONLY candidate who set a new record high in this poll.

(I hope you weren't taking me seriously when I said he was unstoppable)

Gravel's three were presumably a short-lived high based on his performance in the first debate?

Thats because the Dailykos straw poll means absolutely nothing.

They don't mean nothing. They show where DailyKos fundraising, which is substantial, is going (Edwards and, to a lesser extent, Obama). Not that that's surprising. They also show how the most likely Democratic primary voters will probably vote (though the differences between DU and DKos in straw polls show that there is significance difference between base groups).

Lobbyists love him as well, I just can't see how he will lose the primaries! [/sarcasm]

There might be some sort of correlation in this tidbit of info.

However, the rest of this poll is useless as always.

Uh, Harry, why do you like Joe Biden so much?  He's a Republican.

A typical Republican wouldn't be antiwar, pro-universal health care, pro-gay rights, pro-action against global warming, pro-tuition grants, etc.

How isn't he?  He's the only candidate of any party to actually have a plan for Iraq that takes more than 15 seconds to describe, and it involves American troops leaving.  Not to mention he's consistently said he's anti-war.

I also argue that he is pro universal health care, according to his website.

I think that Biden is the most conservative Democrat running, but he is far from a Republican.

Biden is to the left of Hillary and Richardson anyway, and Edwards on social issues
