As I did before when I was in the Senate, I am creating this thread for feedback from Southeast Region citizens.

I will be indicating my voting indications on bills presently in front of the Senate, as well as my past votes on Senate legislation.

As always, if any Southeast citizen has a piece of legislation they wish the Senate to debate and pass, I will sponsor any and all legislation I think is well-written, even if I don't support it.

I generally urge Southeast regional citizens to make their voices heard.  If you have any questions why I'm voting the way I am or questions in general, please ask here.

Thank you.

Sam Spade on Legislation/Nominees Pending

1. Decriminalization of LSD BillOppose (needed to be rewritten)

2. People's Referendum AmendmentOppose (strongly)

3. Educational Funding Clarification BillOppose (typical Southeast attack bill)

4. Proportional Representation BillUndecided (a complicated bill, to say the least, will need to analyze)

5. Withdrawal ResolutionSupport (with amendments)

6. Expansion of Presidential Line Item Veto Power AmendmentUndecided (literally)

Where do you stand on creation of another House?

I myself am against, even if we were to gain significant numbers (unless it was QUITE alot)

And congrats on the win, you're good at this sort of thing, I would have still been boring.

As Sam's unofficial press spokesman for about the next three minutes or so, I believe I can field this one for you:

I will not support the above-legislation, nor any legislation approving a second house during my time in the Senate.

My position essentially mirrors yours.  I think you need to at minimum double the membership of Atlasia to even start talking about a new House, probably more (depending on the numbers of actual active members)

Thank you for the compliment in both areas.  Smiley

I thank you for that answer Joe, I wish I wasn't so lazy...

Could the Senator list perhaps a preview of legislation he plans to propose, or some rough ideas of his?

Well, I already proposed a repeal of the Illegal Immigrant Act.  I intend to propose amendments to see if I can re-attach Ernest's excellent changes to the law in the last Immigration law that were taken out (unfortunately).

I will be working on the wholesale revisions to the OSPR, a task which will probably take me some time.

I intend to work on revising the Tax Increase Act, specifically the employee contribution to SS and probably raising the retirement age to counteract changes.

I'm sure I will have other things to propose as well.  Give me time.  Wink

In case any of the press wishes to interview me, I want them to know that I am always open for interview.

South Park Con. seems to deliver a fair interview, I believe he needs to be prompted however.
