Currently, yes. He's probably the rare exception where a 71 year old man can become the hottest thing among young people.

Yes, but only because he's the candidate that is the most intelligible. Unfortunately, he has about a 150 in 1 chance of winning.

Of course he is! Ron Paul is like the liberal to young people. Sadly, he dosen't have a rat's ass chance of winning in 2008.

On facebook, it's Ron Paul and Barack Obama that are "cool."

personally I dont see the draw to Ron Paul, he seems alot like Larouche in many aspects (not his politics, just his support and such...)

Is he cool?  I dunno, but if he is, someone should get him a sweater.

Seriously though, if being a contrarian makes one "cool," then he is cool.  That doesn't mean he is right or popular.  He's just different.

I wouldn't say he's cool ... I would say he is unlike most candidates in that he is substantive.

To my way of thinking "cool" would mean a handsome guy, or very well dressed or maybe an outstanding or eloquent speaker. Ron Paul has none of those attributes. So I suppose I would have to say no.

The only thing he has going for him is his message; peace, freedom and limited government. But that message seems to be propelling him to the top of most internet polls. Maybe the message is cool. Cool

He's cool to those who haven't examined his extremist economic policy.

For about 75% of the population, yes.

the constitution should be an evolving and flexible document.

take your beloved second amendment for example.  do you think the founding fathers ever imagined that in 2007 there would be 7 year olds shooting 8 year olds with something called a handgun?

doubtful.

The weapon that was used was already illegal! How would making them even further illegal prevent this from happening?! Law-abiding citizens would be the only ones to get rid of their guns. What's preventing the people who commit theft and other violent crimes from not truning in their handguns?
