One of the default types of pizza in the Northeast, although I don't believe it is easily found elsewhere.

The funny thing is that here in Greece I have never met a person that eats Greek Pizza.

Me neither, though my Greek cousin and her husband serve regular pizza in their taverna. I've also never seen "Greek pizza" on the menu in one of the many Greek restaurants in Germany.

I mean, if I want to eat feta cheese, tomatoes, and olives then I will get a greek salad. No need to waste time making a pizza with these ingredients. And they are all taste much better when eaten fresh.

“Greek pizza” in the New England sense is not “pizza with Greek ingredients” but rather a pan pizza cooked in a shallow metal pan as opposed to traditional Neapolitan style pizza that is stretched and cooked atop a stone; the name “Greek” refers to the typical proprietors of local pizzerias in New England, rather than anything about the pizza itself, which is why you wouldn’t find it in Greece. Nevertheless, haughty Europoor posters continue to look down upon the culinary marvel that is the United States and its boundless opportunity for the poor and wretched refuse of their land.

Freedom pizza, but bar pizza is better.
